Films are a Necessity.
More than any other medium, films have the power to depict a reality. This reality can be an illusion and yet it is a reality that enters our minds and can influence our own perception.
Precisely because films have this potential to change worlds, they are necessary. This potential must be utilized - for the right story to be told to the right people.
Filme haben, mehr als jedes andere Medium, die Macht eine Realität abzubilden. Diese Realität kann eine Illusion sein und doch ist es eine Realität, die in unseren Kopf eindringt und die eigene Wahrnehmung beeinflussen kann.
Ebendrum, weil Filme das Potenzial haben Welten zu verändern, sind sie notwenig. Dieses Potenzial muss genutzt werden - für die richtige Geschichte, die es gilt, dem richtigen Menschen zu erzählen.

During and still after his studies at Bauhaus University, Leon shaped and led the Film-Initiative Weimar, which has developed into the most important association for filmmakers in Weimar and has the goal of networking and promoting them.
